This is a weekly newsletter brought to you by a former fashion editor, aka me, Lina. I will particularly cover digital wearables and their role in the gaming and fashion industry.
The Wearables Daily will feature and acknowledge all industry talents and tell their stories.
Don't forget to check - Daily Wearables just thought of starting Twitter spaces, where you will get to know the Metaverse community better!
INTRODUCTION
The total addressable market for the Metaverse could be between $8 trillion and $13 trillion by 2030, with total Metaverse users numbering around five billion, reports Citi. With high numbers comes high expectations of what the Metaverse can bring to different industries. In addition, the rising focus on digital presence drives growth and popularity in virtual products, tokens, and the concept of virtual economies. Even though some Metaverses are still in the building phase, some pioneers have been in development since 2015.
You probably have already noticed my favorite Metaverse - Decentraland. Even though the company has been in development since 2015, only in 2020 Decentraland was opened to the public. The company held an inside auction in 2017 to sell its virtual lands for an approximate price of $20 per lot at the time, and Decentraland MANA tokens sold for $0.02. (Thinking where was I, huh?🥹)
Today, I wanted to give you a glimpse of other interesting projects in the space that are true game changers.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW
Digital wearables Designer HirotoKai
What is your signature when creating your wearables? What do you think about the most?
When creating my wearables, my signature is the Japanese culture. I try to make my designs as close to authentic Japanese clothing as I can with my own twist! Another one of my signatures is the fluorescent flowing colors on the clothing.
What would be your advice for people who are just entering the space?
My advice would be to find your niche, find your style, and flourish in what makes you happy. Take your time and set your pace and make sure you have fun! It may seem difficult at first, but with a little time and patience, it will be second nature before you know it!
What is the future of wearables?
I think the future of wearables lies in the hands of the creators! This could be the next fashion trend and bridge to the real and digital worlds in a unique way. We are early, and it will only get more fun as we go! In my year of designing digital clothing, I’ve seen the space rocket, so there is so much more potential!
