New Brands Ready to Metaverse

Introduction

I know. Blockchain, NFTs, Web3, and Metaverse - are the most popular buzzwords now on the Internet. But the thing is, while it's buzzing, some brands and creators are really working on it. 

I talked with many founders and creators, and I have noticed that they all talk about interoperability. They all say it's an inevitable promise o what the term Metaverse holds. Until we get there, many brands and creators are joining the space. Sometimes they're just experimenting; sometimes, it's part of a bigger marketing strategy. Either way, they're here, selling NFTs and participating in virtual life. Today, I gathered a few pieces of news that, I believe, will impact how we navigate Web3.

DressX Raises $15 Million

The funds raised will be deployed with a focus on the interoperability of its digital fashion assets, improving the performance of the DressX app and NFT marketplace, growing the community, and further partnerships with social and gaming platforms across traditional media and the metaverse. 

Counter-Strike skin sold for $160,000

Blogger Jake Lucky reported that one of the rarest Counter-Strike AK-47 skins, Wild Lotus, was sold on the Chinese platform BUFF163. It consists of four holographic Reason Gaming stickers that were available during the 2014 EMS One Katowice Championship. It was sold for $160k.

Shiseido metaverse activation

Japanese beauty brand Shiseido is amping up its metaverse activations to commemorate its 150th anniversary. In partnership with Cult, a British-based Web3 agency, the Japanese beauty giant has unveiled its #AliveWithBeauty campaign featuring a limited collection of 150 exclusive NFTs. 

Clarins enters the Web3

The main inspiration is the newly launched Clarins Precious, Clarins’ first luxury skincare line. The NFT collection follows the creation of Clarins T.R.U.S.T. in 2022, a blockchain-based traceability platform designed to give clients an all-access view of the journey each Clarins product makes

Valentino Rossi racing in the metaverse

Moto Island is the new world built around Valentino Rossi in the popular virtual world Roblox. It consists of high-octane races in an open world. The Valentino Rossi experience is the first incursion into virtual worlds for VR46 Metaverse, the company developing the image of the Italian champion in gaming and metaverse.
