This is a weekly newsletter brought to you by a former fashion editor, aka me, Lina. I will particularly cover digital wearables and their role in the gaming and fashion industry.

I will do what I do best - listen and report. ✍️

So The Wearables Daily will feature and acknowledge all industry talents and tell their stories.

INTRODUCTION

Even though it's crypto winter now, it definitely feels like a summer break vibes in the Metaverse. It means we still do get to party and enjoy all the perks of fantasy and creativity. You just have to know good places to go, like IRL, right? 🦩

In this newsletter, I will explore new places to visit, some fashion trends, and, of course, the bigger picture of what is happing in web3. 🤖

So how the summer break in the Metaverse look like?

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

Hearing from Decentraland wearables curator: Yannakis

Decentraland wearables NFT artist

Tell us more about what Decentraland looked like when you joined the space and how wearables evolved during that time?

When I joined DCL, wearables were way simpler with many emissions, not resembling IRL fashion. However, during my time here, the quality of wearables has improved a lot. Nowadays, most wearables look much more realistic and resemble either IRL fashion or fantasy style, whereas before, they were mainly advertisements or wearables for "fun."

In your eyes, what is the future of wearables?

I think that in the future, most wearables will resemble real-life fashion and will be used to express a person in the metaverse. It's an amazing opportunity for brands to get more exposure, for regular users to dress in a way they might not be comfortable dressing IRL, and mainly have fun!

BE A TOURIST IN DECENTRALAND

I asked the community to put the most interesting places to visit as a Metaverse tourist this summer, and here's the most recommended:

#1 Museum District

First blockchain-based museum and art galleries district.

#2 Aetherian Block Museum

Welcome to the Aetheria Block Museum. Here you will find about Ethereum early history through data and generative art from pioneer cryptoartysts. The exhibited blocks are organized into 5 groups: The First Million, Early Days - the DAO, Denial of Service, The Bull Times and The Peak of Inflated Expectations. Each block represent a significant block from Genesis to the end of 2018 and is displayed along an artwork generated from the block data.
