SHORT INTERVIEW

Co-founder @ Droffo

You're the one behind Droffo's design and UX. What was the most important thing to you while creating this platform?

First and foremost is always a great user experience. To achieve that, I had to dive into metaverse marketplaces and compare it with real-life clothing marketplaces, as they're much more advanced. I've spent many hours analyzing it and brainstorming how to make the best possible experience for buying and selling digital wearables. Designing a marketplace product is always a challenge because you have to think about both buyers and sellers, which are totally different use cases.

You're a creator yourself. What kind of Metaverse do you explore, and what is your take on living a digital life?

I always try to put myself in my product's users' shoes, so I became a creator and Decentraland user myself. I bought some wearables, and I created a couple of them myself. That really helped me understand the pain points of the Decentraland marketplace. As for digital life, I think we're already living it with all the social networks and online games. Metaverses is just another medium that is still quite new but constantly growing.

How do you see the future of digital wearables and fashion?

I believe it should eventually become much more inclusive. Nowadays, you need a lot of technical knowledge to create and sell digital wearables. Not that long ago, it was the same with real-life clothing. But now, every teenager can easily design a t-shirt or a hoodie and sell it online or wear it themselves. It should come to metaverses as well. I see a huge potential in digital wearables because the digital environment doesn't limit you. You can basically create anything - flying objects, auras, glowing skins, etc. which would not be possible in real life. That really opens your creativity. I can't wait to see more fashion brands joining metaverses and see what they come up with.
