Introduction

Digital fashion is taking the fashion world by storm, offering a new way to express creativity and personal style through virtual garments and accessories. With the rise of the metaverse and the increasing use of technology in fashion design, digital fashion is becoming more accessible and popular than ever before.

From virtual fashion shows and online marketplaces to 3D-printed clothing and augmented reality try-ons, there's no shortage of exciting developments in the world of digital fashion.

In this newsletter, we'll explore the latest trends, innovations, and industry news related to digital fashion, providing insights into this rapidly evolving field and what it means for the future of fashion.

DressX x IPSA

DressX, a digital fashion marketplace, has collaborated with the streetwear brand IPSA to create a collection of virtual garments. The collection includes various edgy and futuristic pieces, such as a metallic bomber jacket, a cyberpunk-inspired bodysuit, and a translucent raincoat. The virtual clothes are designed to be worn in virtual environments such as gaming or social media platforms and can also be used for editorial and advertising purposes. DressX aims to revolutionize the fashion industry by offering sustainable, on-demand digital fashion that anyone can enjoy anywhere. With collaborations like the one with IPSA, DressX is helping to redefine the boundaries of fashion and technology and paving the way for a more inclusive and sustainable future.

MNTGE x Levi's

Digital fashion company MNTGE has launched a new Fruits & Veggies edition collection featuring a limited edition pair of upcycled Levi's jeans. The unique aspect of these jeans is that they come embedded with an NFC tag that allows purchasers to link them to an NFT. The NFT not only authenticates the purchase of the physical garment but also unlocks digital experiences explicitly tailored to the buyer. These Levi's jeans represent MNTGE's first foray into the physical garment space, as the company has previously focused on creating digital wearables around vintage clothing. The Fruits & Veggies edition demonstrates the potential of blending physical fashion with digital fashion and highlights the importance of sustainability in fashion.

Syky Collective

Digital fashion startup Syky, founded by former Ralph Lauren digital chief Alice Delahunt, has launched an incubator program for emerging digital fashion talent. The program called the Syky Collective, will select ten promising designers to participate in a year-long program that provides mentorship, education, and fashion partnerships. The selected designers will have the opportunity to build skills across both fashion and technology, with the goal of helping them build the luxury fashion houses of the future. In addition, the Syky Collective aims to support the next generation of fashion innovators, providing them with the resources and guidance needed to turn their creative visions into successful businesses. Through this initiative, Syky is helping to shape the fashion industry's future by empowering emerging talent and encouraging the adoption of new technologies in fashion.

Sotheby's marketplace

Sotheby's, a world-famous auction house, has entered the digital art revolution by introducing a peer-to-peer secondary marketplace for NFTs. The platform aims to revolutionize the art market by offering advanced opportunities for artists and collectors to interact and transact in the Web3 space. Sotheby's, with a history of 275 years in the art world, has proven to be a pioneer in the industry by embracing innovation and adapting to the changing landscape, as demonstrated by their expansion into the Metaverse.
